Allison Gauche, a graduate of Chapin High School, was named the recipient of the Columbia Chapter’s Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs Award. Gauche received the scholarship award of $1,000.

Gauche was chosen because of her commitment to community and outstanding leadership skills. She was a member of NJROTC for 4 years, earning numerous awards and serving as Platoon Commander. While at Chapin High, she was a member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and a delegate to the Model United Nations program.

In the fall, Gauche will attend Clemson University majoring in law, liberty, and justice as part of her pre–law studies. “I want to be able to give every person an equal chance in the world,” she says.
