Music club plans Parade of America Music

Contributed by the Eau Claire Music Club

Members of the Eau Claire Music Club of Columbia are planning their Parade of American Music to be presented at the Nov. 21 meeting in recognition of the National Federation of Music Club's (NFMC) American Music Month.

American Music Month was established by the NFMC in 1955 to create special emphasis on all kinds of American music. This was a February event until 1999 when it was changed to November.

Clubs which are members of the S.C. Federation of Music Clubs and others from over the U.S. compete for the Rudolf R.A. Schramm Award which is given for the most outstanding American Music Program presented in November.
