Author/Singer Kelly Minter of Nashville to speak at Women’s Conference

This week, Eastminster Presbyterian Church will host author/speaker/ musician Kelly Minter of Nashville, Tennessee, who will be the featured speaker at “Cultivate: a Women’s Gathering Around the Word.”

This conference is open to the public for $35 a ticket. The conference will be held in the church sanctuary at 3200 Trenholm Road in Columbia, S. C., Friday night, 7- 9 p.m., and Saturday morning, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Biblically focused, “Cultivate” is a gathering where participants will seek God’s Word, worship with an acoustic band, enjoy the warmth of community and prayer, and nurture hearts for missions. Hosting this event is part of Eastminster’s outreach effort, as they encourage members and others in the community to share the joy of Christ.

“We are thrilled to host this women’s event, with Kelly Minter as our speaker. She is a favorite Bible study author among many of our Small Groups at Eastminster,” says Caroline Bennett, Small Groups coordinator at Eastminster.

Approximately 400 people belong to Eastminster’s 40 Small Groups, which meet weekly to study The Bible, pray together, serve others and discuss how God’s Word applies to lives today. On Thursday, September 7, Minter also will be the featured speaker at Eastminster’s Small Groups Kick-off Dinner, 5:30-7:00 p.m., for people currently in groups and those interested in joining one.

Minter’s newest release is entitled Al l Things New, a study of 2 Corinthians. Among her other titles are Ruth: Loss, Love and Legacy; Nehemiah: A Hear t That Can Break; No Other Gods; and The Fitting Room. To find out more about the featured speaker, visit http://kellyminter.com/.
